We have decided to grow a garden this year. Van has always loved to garden, but we haven't planted more then tomatoes in the past. So far we have planted and see peas and are waiting to see carrots pop up. We have some tomato plants to plant and also plan to grow some more vegetables: squash, lettuce, spinach, peppers, cucumbers & corn. We will have our little salad bar soon (we hope). We have always wanted to do more each year, so with the economy the way it is we decided it was a good time to teach the kids to be gardeners. They have all gotten into it especially the girls. They water, weed and have even made a map so we can remember where we planted everything.
It will be lots of fun to see what we end up with and lots of good eating (especially tomatoes, YUM! Bacon and tomato sandwiches!)
Everybody got to help and will be able to see their hard work pay off this summer (YUM!)
