One of our Saomoan friends, Azra, came and decorated our wall in July for a party Oldest had.
He is a great artist!

Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park

So I started his post quite awhile ago, but the summer life has taken over (a.k.a. lazy days).
Over Easter weekend we grabbed a picnic lunch, shovels, my camera and our friends and neighbors the Clements family and headed south to The Coral Pink Sandunes State Park.
We had a blast digging and jumping in the sand. We had never been there before, and we really enjoyed the weather and the beautiful scenery.
Check out all the fun we had................

THANKS Clements!
We will have to grab you again and go back and see more park!

A Day At Kolob

Do you know what these are?

These are crawdads..................
A few weekends ago we took a picnic lunch and some friends and went up into the beautiful mountains to get out of the heat.
So we shared our learned secret of how to catch crawdads. First you save all your old panty hose just for the special occasion of crawdad catching. Then you gather up string and raw meat (i.e: hotdogs, chicken, bologna). You make yourself a little pocket out of the panty hose, put a piece of meat in it with a rock or two for weight. Tie on a nice long piece of string and walah...........
you got your self a handy dandy crawdad catcher. Oh and don't forget the buckets and a fishing net or two comes in handy also.

So we had a great time catching quite a few crawdads..........

Not these.............
These..............

Everybody had a great time and for most of them it was a first...............

We didn't do this..............
but some did do this...............
(by the way it was not a real warm day, hence the jackets & sweaters, but they did it anyway and claimed it wasn't that bad. "Whatever you say guys!")
But all in all we caught alot of these........

Oh and we had a little fun with them before throwing them back...............

A few of us learned how to use a wrist rocket.................

It's actually pretty fun!
Then there was the GORGEOUS ride home................

What a great way to enjoy this beautiful place the Lord has blessed us with. It was so peaceful and his creations were all around us. What an AWESOME day!
