A 12 year old, a bathroom, paint, a paintbrush & the incentive of MONEY

O.K. , so the pictures tell the story pretty good, but I will give some more details. The Middle wanted to earn extra money. Dad decided she could paint the bathroom. Which I am all for, because I wanted it done, but had no time in which to do it. I was a little concerned about her with a lot of paint, but my fears were pretty much gone after she got started. She did do a lot of work on her bedroom when we painted it earlier this year, so she did have some experience. She did it all: the prep work. the painting (for the most part) & after a little pushing the clean up (actually we had a little mishap with that so it is still a clean up in progress). The fun part was the fact that she started 4 days before company was coming for Thanksgiving. After a late Monday night it was finished enough to use. Middle still has some touch ups and some paint brushes to put away, but it is functional.

Her arms really started feeling it after the ceiling.

She learned pretty quickly not to get to close to a freshly painted ceiling.

TaDa: The finished product......

Oh YES we are talking blue and two different shades of blue. (If you look at the driveway close enough you can get a sneak peek).

By The Way:

It's really hard to take decent pictures of a bathroom. I'll try again later.

Overall a GREAT job by Middle! Thank You!

Looks great! I'm going to paint my bathroom blue too. Maybe she could come help me, seeing as she has experience.

Just keep an eye on where she carries the paint to after she is done. Otherwise she would love to.

I love blue. And who wouldn't love getting a project done while you are doing other prep for guests. Will she hire out? I have a baptism in Feb and we have a list longer than time to finish.
