Leaving

When you are younger you don't really think to much about leaving. The first day of school, our first sleep over, maybe thinking about running away when we are just soooooooooo MAD at our parents. But nothing serious just little things. Well to some of us. When I was growing up we had the opportunity to go and spend time with our Grandparents. I absolutely LOVED every chance I got to do that. Once I even travelled to Arizona (18-20 hrs away) with my Aunt and Uncle to visit my G'ma and G'pa Mundy for a couple of weeks...... I was 10! I still remember getting to see the Grand Canyon for the first time. For a Kansas girl that was quite a sight! One set of Grandparents only lived 3 hours away and I got to see them more often. We still took turns each summer going to see them by ourselves. I remember going shopping, getting my hair done, going to the movies and the Aerospace Museum. ALL WONDERFUL memories!

The Oldest had a chance several years ago to go and stay in Kansas for a month.
Now it is Middle's and Yougest's turn. They get to spend Spring Break with their G'ma and G'pa W. up North.
(Packing the day before. It can be exhausting work.)
After all my opportunities when I was growing up to do this, I am all for my kids to do the same. It's not easy to see them go, but the memories they get to make it is all worth it. After all it is only one week! We can handle it.............."Grandpa and Grandma.........PLEASE SEND PICTURES!" We will miss you girls, but HAVE A GREAT TIME! We LOVE YOU!
Uncle Chad and Aunt Carol had come down for a conference that week. They were willing to take them up North with them. THANKS you guys! (We had a great time while you were here!)

That is so fun for them. Since both set of grandparents live so close, they only occasionally get a sleepover there. I think it would be an adventure to truly get away!

I don't think my comment made sense. I was talking about my kids. Also, I wanted to say that I'm sorry you were so sick & hope you're 100% better to enjoy spring break!
