My Birthday (Yep, I admitted it)

I know my birthday was a couple of weeks ago, but better late then later. 

So this is what I woke up to on my 28th birthday. They got up at 6am on a Saturday to surprise me. It worked, I was so surprised. I always decorate their bedroom doors the night before their birthdays. This is the first year they did it for me. I loved it!

After going to Youngest's b-ball game we went to brunch at Chuck-O-Rama. Then we dropped the kids off to clean house while we went shopping (mostly to finish up Christmas shopping, but none the less it was shopping). I did have some birthday money to spend but it took me a couple of weeks to spend it all (new jeans, a cheese slicer, a couple of shirts and some shoes). Then dinner and a movie. It was an AWESOME day and I appreciate all my family did for me! If you don't remember here is a picture of my new faucet (they even put a bow on it, but I missed getting that pic.)

Now in past years I have been a scrooge when it comes to celebrating/acknowledging this day at all. I am coming around to the idea that it happens and I just need to deal with it (this is the 5th anniversary of my turning 28 by the way). My family has been good to me and I know it is a blessing to be able to celebrate this great day of my birth (thanks to my wonderful parents) with them. So thanks again Family and I love you!
