Labor Day Weekend Part 1

Well back up to the campground we went for Labor Day weekend. This time for a BIG Family Reunion for G'Pa W's family. Lots of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins (1st, 2nd and so on). Good food, good fun, good times & great games!
Preparation:

G'Ma needed to go to Costco to get a "few" things. Well 8 people, and a few things later and this is what our Durango looked like:

The night before the adults went to dinner, and the kids....

ate PIZZA (YUMMMMM)!

Reunion Day brought lots of fun including many games:

Fishing for money (only the kids got to do this one).

The Candy Drop. Everyone waited patiently for the airplane to drop the candy (Van's Uncle is a pilot).

Unwrap a Frozen T-shirt

Gold Fish Racing

Doughnut Eating

Marshmellow Golf (Van got 3rd w/50 ft.)

Then finally the the Triathalon:
Both OLD...

and Young....

For the OlD the Triathalon included wading, water sliding, b-ball free throws, running through the trees and lastly running through the muddy pond (which got a little dangerous thanks to Aunt Michele). The Younger group went wading, water sliding, free throw shooting & running. G'Pa spent a lot of time on this one. He really wanted it to be memorable. I think he succeeded. The brave paricipants came away w/bragging rights & a few scrapes.

We had such an awesome time that I took a whole lot of pictures. So I will post a Part 2 later this week.

Looks so fun! We'll have to stash a few of those ideas away for our own family reunions!
