Halloween

So we spent Halloween morning at Middle's volleyball tournament. It was a double elimination, and they lasted three games. The last two went into a third game and loosing the last one only by three. They did great and Middle improved a whole lot this year! Her over hand serve looks great!!!!!!

That night Youngest and I went trick or treating with her BFF J's family and neighbors while Middle roamed with her BFF J and Oldest went to the movies after checking out the neighborhood. Van stayed home and answered the door with the help of Rocky, who managed to survive the night.

Haunting the Neighborhood............

Our little monster. He barely left it on long enough to get a picture. Can you tell he didn't even want to look at the camera?

I know I've said it before, but we live in a great neighborhood! Everybody is so generous and nice to everyone. It is always a joy to walk around our streets. Thanks neighbors for a FUN and safe night!

Halloween Eve

Friday was the school Halloween party and parade with the Trunk or Treat that night. Youngest is the only one who really cares anymore, so it wasn't to hard until Middle decided she needed to do something.
So we had a Midnight Fairy and a Face Book Profile (the one with the orange wig).
I helped with the party and thanks to a friend's blog, we made these cute acorns. Good thing we also had sugar cookies to decorate, because only one student knew what an acorn was. They turned out cute and delicious. Van and I decided to have some fun and had an 80's flashback trunk. We did get some fun reactions. A great start to a fun weekend. We did realize that we have older kids so it definitely was simplified.

This was after all the school stuff. She still had a long night ahead of her.

*Side note:
Oldest was at a swim meet so he missed out. (He wasn't to disappointed. Only that he missed the haunted trailer the YM did). But he did great in all three meets, bettering all his times.

That's him at the bottom of the pict.....

Raptor Romp

Each Fall the grade school puts on the Raptor Romp (annual fundraiser). Each grade level learns a dance and performs it for their parents. This was Youngest's last year and also the last for our family. It has been 10 yrs of many dances (and pizza). They sell pizza, drinks, candy and raffle tickets for drawings (Oldest actually won a $30 gift certificate to the movies...YES he's in heaven).

~The 5th grade danced to "Thriller" this year.......

~The finale is "The Chicken Dance"........
Youngest with a good friend and her brother (he wasn't really into it, can you tell?)

~With her brother. He couldn't resist this last chance to dance like a chicken.

~Two peas in a pod (well not really, but they are great together).

~Here's to another great Raptor Romp and many more without the Wilkinson's.

Not So Far Behind

More of what we are up to this Fall.......

Middle is playing boarder league volleyball again this year. It takes up most of our Saturdays right now, but it has been fun to watch her grow and get better.
This is what we do while waiting for volleyball (we wait, and wait and wait some more). Only 2 Saturdays left.
She has really enjoyed volleyball this year. Her teammates and her coach have bee AWESOME! We have been lucky this year and last to have been blessed with such great coaches.

So Far Behind..........

I haven't finished posting our summer vacation pics, but life has not slowed down and I am behind. So here are some fun pics to show what's up in our lives right now.

The dog turned 7 (or 49 however you want to look at it)

Oldest marched in a couple (or more) parades

Oldest needed a tux for concert band (but can't wait to wear it to a dance)

Can you tell which is my favorite and which is his?

More to come...........

Annual Turkey Trot

.....WELL WE AREN'T TURKEYS AND WE DIDN'T DO MUCH TROTTING, BUT WE DID HAVE FUN!

We have enjoyed our Community's Turkey Trot for the last 3-4 years. This year our neighborhood was well represented. Van was sick and on-call and the Oldest was at an out of town swim meet (we missed him, b'cuz we never win if he's not there). So the girls and I went on our own and very much enjoyed being with our great neighbors. The registration fee is 3 cans of food per person which is then donated to the local food bank. Then everyone walks/runs a mile. This year they added a 5K for those more ambitious people (we were represented there also). It was a little more drawn out this year and we didn't win anything, but we had fun just the same. I'll say it again as I have said before....."We live in a great neighborhood (and community.").

Fall Break Weekend (Formally known as UEA)

Ahhh.... what a nice relaxing weekend. The only downer was the fact that Monday followed right close behind. Anyway we had a chance to go with friends to Snow Canyon Park. They have the biggest sandbox we've ever seen.
We Hiked......

played.....

and dug a GREAT BIG hole!

This was the end to the big hole.

All that work for nothing. Except a whole lot of fun , memories and stories to tell back at school.

Oh and we also brought home enough sand to make our own sandbox, except the fact that it all went down the drain in the bath tub (YEAH!).
